Parasailing for first-timers

Just want to mention that this is my favorite forum and what a great resource it is for travelers!

It will be a first for both my husband and myself to go to the
Caribbean (or leave the US for that matter!) so it is truly a big
event. So we (or really, I) want to parasail. I looked up pages 1-10 of the forum but didn't find any detailed info so I thought I would start this thread.

I'm a non-swimmer, and my husband made me watch Shark Week all summer in an attempt to dissuade me from going. I emailed Islandwatersportsaruba.com for some info on parasailing and was told that it will be done from the back of a boat, take off from a platform and land on the same platform, never having to touch the water. Is this true???

I want to try this while I'm still in my early 30's, but I'm still learning how to swim. So:

1. Where is the best place to go parasailing for the first time?
2. How much does it cost?
3. Do I book now or wait til I get there?

Muchas gracias

yes you stay dry if u want they will dip u in the water. if not, they won't.

wait til you get there to reserve.
the ride can be bumpy due to the tradewinds.

you'd be harnessed in very well.
you will have a life vest on.

cost.......dunno.

will write more later.

celebration all in one. We will be there from Nov 4 - 9th and staying at
Manchebo beach resort. (To those who remember my old post, YES, I finally caved in!!!)
