Please when snorkeling

Please do not exceed your limitations.

If snorkeling at Baby Beach, do not go out past the seawall.
The water is deep and the current is strong.

There was a drowning there a few days ago.
I do not know if the victim went out beyond the seawall or not.
But it is a reminder of how fragile life is and how dangerous snorkeling beyond that wall can be.

Highly reccomend an inflatable snorkel vest. Can be used with no air or can be inflated to the degree that you need. If you get in trouble it can give you the extra time that you need to be rescued. They can be purchased on-line or at dive shops for as little as $35.00. Suggest you get it in the US as the supply in Aruba is limited.

I am a strong swimmer and have used for the last 10 years. Ten years ago I got cramps in both legs while 250 yards from shore. Made it back without a vest, but have worn one since. it is just cheap and smart insurance.
