    Private Catamaran

My husband and I are coming back to aruba for our 5th time in March with friends. This trip we are looking to rent a private catamaran for the afternoon. We are looking for a catamaran that will only have the 4 of us on it. we are looking for a catamaran that will allow us to bring beverages on as well being served. PLease let me know if anyone knows where this can be done.

Check out the Ali Kai. It's always moored by Piet's Pier at the Hilton. The vendor tent is Marcel's Watersports and is on Palm Beach between the Hyatt and Occidental. It's a Mom and Pop operation and they've had twitter and FB accounts but those seem to be inactive. Nice folks and a decent catamaran.

If on Facebook... search for JJ Aruba. He owns a catamaran now and used to be the captain of the Morningstar. He only does private sail trips.

I just found this book on Amazon.com, I am guessing this captain is the author of this book?

Interesting ...... Book in 1995 and as I remember Marcel he would be 50ish about now and the boat on the cover sure looks like the one we've been on! Thanks for finding that...!

I do remember that the line for the jib broke on one of our sunset sails and Marcel climbed up the mast to replace the line and raise the jib again. That gave DW a couple of tense moments!

I think he is on vacation right now. I think he sailed over to Bonaire and Curacao so not sure what type of internet access he has. I'll try to PM him.

Heard from JJ today. He is indeed in Bonaire (until the end of October) and the internet is very spotty. Here is his business facebook page.

    His email is rusgroen@hotmail.com
