question for golfers travelling without a playing partner

We are trying to convince our friends to join us in aruba in a few months. One of them is an avid golfer but none of the rest of us are. do the courses in Aruba match you up with others to make foresomes? Is it pretty easy to get in with others to play a round?
Also - Which course do you prefer and why?

we have golfing friends that go to aruba every december. (the husband is the golfer)
both divi links and tierra del sol will set up foursomes.
have your friend contact the pro at both of the golf courses.

Honestly I have never heard of a club that refused to match you up with other foursomes?

I never really thought of that, but that does make sense. I only golf once a year in a fun charity tournament so I'm pretty clueless. I'm just trying to make convincing my friends dh to come with us as smooth as possible.

We are bringing our daughter and son in law with us to Aruba for the first time this year. He usually plays golf several times on vacation. We will be staying near Divi Golf. Does anyone know if they rent clubs, or will he need to bring them? I imagine that they do, but want to be sure. Thanks

Our friend ended up not playing, but there is a lot of information available on the websites. www.divilinks.com (club rental looks like $35/round). Tierra del Sol is http://www.tierradelsol.com/
    Their rental looks like $55
Not sure when, but we will be back

Thanks, Tracy, That is exactly what I was looking for. I looked on Divi Village's web site, but I didn't see that link.

My brother has played Divi Links and enjoyed it. He has rented clubs there and brought his own. We were staying at the Tamarijn and they stored his clubs free of charge and took VERY good care of them, including cleaning them. I am sure he tipped them well!

Come up to Tierra del Sol and play amongst friends. Lots of opportunity to meet other golfers and be paired up. There is a popular Tuesday Tournament where you can win bragging rights as "Aruba Golf Champ for a Week" or the ever popular Friday afternoon Balashi tournament including . . . well you guessed it, some Balashi beer :-) Call the pro shop 586-7800, email teetime@tierradelsol.com, or visit online www.tierradelsol.com.
