    for those that are considering doing that.......
    it does not work.

    one inserts the room key into the device before getting on the shuttle boat.
    if light shines green you are good to get onboard.
    if no green, you are sent back to the front desk to get the correct card.
    the room keys are "defunct" once you check out.
    if you choose to go to the island on the day of check out you are given a key that is "active" only for that day.

    The Renaissance offers day passes if the hotel was less than 90% booked.

    The pass is $75.00 pp and includes the boat trip to and from the Island, use of the 2 beaches, chairs, hammocks etc, lunch, one drink and I believe use of a float.

    That doesn't work...key becomes invalid after your "time" is up there.

    This way is cheaper if you just want 1 day for 2 people but renting a room for 4 gets you 2 days for 4 people for less than $300. Have to buy your own drink though.

    Still is a good amount of money just to visit an island, might have to pass on this i guess
