So do you just show up at the hotel (I'm leaning towards the Radisson) and inquire about passes at the front desk? And can you also request (for an additional fee) a cabana or palapa at that time?

Yes, you purchase at the front desk and it includes a palapa.

We wil be in Aruba in November for the day. Do we need to make reservations for any of the hotel day passes in Arubalisa's list? Sent emails to the Holiday Inn, Occidental and Radisson and have not received anything back. Thanks.

Pick up the phone and call them. We did.
Info is exactly right as stated on this site. Rad has a day pass with nothing for like $19.
Occidental is 9-5 and $77.00
RUI is 10-10 $105.00
Rad with AI $75.00
Rad with nothing but a towel $19
Know don't quote me on these, but its the info we were given when called.
