Sailing

Hi,
Where can one rent a sailboat (without a crew) for sailing on one's own (for group of around 4) ? I mean both sailing near the shore (for few hours) or e.g. to some diving site nearby (full day) ... I'm certified sailor, but have never sailed in Aruba area.

What are the options and prices ?
This would be for November 2010. Given that in that time winds are not so consistent - is reservation for specific date required ?

Greetings to all readers and appreciate the info !

renting a boat

As far as I am aware the best you could probably do is renting a Hobie from say Aruba Watersports. http://www.aruba.com/ThingstoDo/Acti...rt_center.aspx

I too sail, mostly New Egland, Long Island Sound, R.I. and MA. I have done much rsearch about any kind of bare boat rental. Haven't found one yet. I will be in Aruba from 11/22 thru 12/21. If oyu hear of anything I may have overlooked, please do share. Or if interested, I believe there is one large Sailboat, will have to retrace my steps, that brings out smaller parties, but can still be costly. If interested, perhaps, we could share expenses. I have a party of 3 possibly 4.
Much Regards
Karen
