    SeaBob tours

    http://seabobaruba.com

SeaBob exits their tour at Boca Catalina Beach.
Paul and I saw them each day finishing their tour while we were at the beach.

They were amazing looking and very "James Bond-like"
The participants looked as though they had a blast.

Costly tour, but the price of those machines is $$thousands$$

Interesting, but it is very expensive (to me anyway). I could take two relaxing trips on Black Pearl and have a few nice adult beverages on the way to and from the snorkel sites for about the same price.

I wonder how heavy those machines are? They look huge.
Can't help but to compare to Aruba Bob Snorkeling, and for the money, I just don't see us trying this one, especially considering the amazing pictures that were inclued in our tour price. Plus there are so many snorkeling tour options in the area of Boca Catalina. I am thinking this will be a big draw as a cruise excursion.
Not sure when, but we will be back

the machines are about 4' in length and about 50lbs.
we watched them put them in the water and then take them out. (start and end of tour)
Seabobs bring the participants and equipment by truck and trailer.
it takes 2 to carry them from the trailer to the water.
it was quite a process but they had it down to a science.

in no way am i recommending this over Kent's Arubababob snorkeling, but i do think for those that can handle the price, it is a an awesome adventure.

each participant is also tethered to a buoy, for visibility/safety from boat traffic.

i bet you are right tracey....a big cruise excursion !!

I can't breathe too long underway so it would not be worth it to me. When I went snorkeling with Aruba Bob, Stuart surprised me. He dove down 40 feet to a ship wreck to take picture in no time just with the water scooter in seconds. He was like Aqua Man! This guy can swim and dive really good like nothing.
