Fishing in Aruba

I also am looking to do some fishing while in Aruba. I will be on the island from feb 13th to Feb 20th. Staying at the Westin, anyone know of good shore fishing spots for me as well. Also if anyone is travelling or staying that week and is looking to charter a boat let me know maybe we can split the cost. Can anyone attest to a a good charter or inshore fishing charter. Thanks.

well tried the spanish lagoon tonight. Had some cuda follow and seen some smaller fish. The lower bridge was good to fish from with enough room.Just not much luck.
How about bonefish?Any suggestions on where to go or what to look for?

There has to be some anglers here that can share some info on shore fishng.

I will keep trying and post as i go.
If anyone visits Northern Manitoba ,Canada drop me a line i will put you on some monsters.
Have a great day all.

Have you looked at these threads?

http://www.aruba.com/forum/tags/surf%20fishing.html

Apparently there is not a huge following for shore fishing in Aruba.

...and Anybody to help me what kind of fish I cought, please ;-)

This is an example of why people stop giving advice on where to fish on Aruba.

BTW. Your fish is a Snook

My opinion, and my opinion only is to hook up with a local that knows the area, even if you have to pay for it. Even if he is not catching something that day, for the money you can at least chat with the guy to pick his brain on where to go and what he is using. Sort of like an investment towards your future fishing endeavors.

My husband is also interested in shore fishing while we are in Aruba. Does anyone know if there is a place where you can rent rods and fishing tackle? We don't want to take any down with us when we go.
