Snorkeling near Bucuti Resort

We have our own gear and are curious to know of any place within walking distance that anyone would recommend for some good snorkeling. It is our first visit to Aruba. We do plan on taking a sail/snorkeling tour, but how about on our "off" time?

There is no snorkeling in the area of the Bucuti. There is nothing but white sand bottom. No place for fish and critters to hide.

If you like, take the bus to Boca Catalina for some decent shore snorkeling. http://www.aruba.com/forum/tags/boca%20catalina.html

You will love Bucuti, but there is nothing to see snorkeling. I suggest renting a car and taking a drive. There are many locations you can find on any island map (many toward the California Lighthouse).

Have a great trip!

I will also be honeymooning at Bucuti in October. We were overwhelmed when we began searching through the endless list of possible accommodations, but were sold on Bucuti upon reading of your environmental efforts! It’s important to us to support others who share our “environmental awareness”. See you in a few weeks!
