Soul Beach Aruba Festival 2010

Planning a big deal 50th anniversary party. Want to be in Aruba during the festival. Need to reserve the villa, buy plane tickets, and get out the save the date invites. etc. Historically the festival has been held during the Memorial Day weekend (next year May 28-31,) but the Marriott had a blurb about the festival being held May 20-24, 2010. Sent several emails to the Soulbeach website without any response. Need confirmation fast...anyone know the dates or who can provide that info.? Thanks

Was there last year, and it wasn't that crowded at all.

Thanks! Was worried that the beaches and restaurants would get overly crowded.

Question Soul Beach Festival 5/26-5/31

Hi

I plan to be in Aruba during the festival. How is the general admission concert work? Is it standing only, or do people bring pinic style gear...ie blankets, beach chairs, coolers, etc.?
Are seats available for purchase for the elderly or handicapped? Are concert goers in the sand, cement, or grass?

I have seniors in my party and need to whether this is something they could enjoy.

The way its worked in the past is that its standing room. Some people bring blankets but you are not allowed to bring cjairs etc. For $5, you could rent a plastic chair to use. The concert was on the beach so it was in the sand. This year, the concert moved to a new location so that it can accomodate more people but i'm not familiar with the new place so I can't comment accurately. Hope this helps.

Soul festival

This year the concerts are at Joe Laveist Stadium in San Nicholas ... not on the beach as in the past. The tickets are all "general admission," so if you get there early enough you can get close on the field -- otherwise, you can relax in an actual stadium seat. The link to buy tickets (individual night or combo) is:
