Sunfish (or equiv.) Rentals?

Hi all!

I am staying at the Westin starting Sept. 5. Any ideas as to where I might be able to rent a Sunfish or equivalent sailboat?

TIA!
Kris

Aruba Watersports is located between the Occidental and Radisson just a short walk down the beach from the Westin. They rent lasers and different size Hobies.

unfortunately, Aruba Water Sports doesnt rent out the Lasers... :-(

They are only for their sailing school... Are there any other places?

Thanks for the quick responses!

I know! I emailed them to reserver and they said (a little misleading, their site!):

Can't go wrong with a 14' Hobie from Aruba Watersports for 55/hr. The 16' is 77/hr. We only used the 16' twice this year, once with another couple and once because it was all that was available at the time we wanted to sail. Didn't even need to use the jib.... lotsa nice wind!

I am a little concerned that any kind of cat is too much boat for me (very much a novice)...

Think I'll be Kayaking...

Don't underestimate your sailing skill.... if you can handle a sunfish or a sailfish, a 14' Hobie is a piece of cake. Only one sail (no jib) and one handle (tiller) for both rudders. The two pontoons give you excellent stability and the platform between the pontoons give you much 'move around' space. A 14' Hobie is not a big boat at all - it's only a coupla feet longer than a sunfish. Give it a try!
