Tranquilo?

Can everyone give me info on the tranquilo. Last time we went, we went on a snorkeling tour and went to 3 places, including the ship wreck.

This year, we thought we would go again, and this year try the Jolly pirates. But this tranquilo trip is interesting and I want to know more about it.

Can someone tell me what exactly is drift snorkeling and how it might differ from the Jolly pirates trip.

Thanks

I have written descriptions of our two south side lunch, snorkel sail excursions on the Tranquilo at
http://bloggingtoaruba.typepad.com/my_weblog/2006/10/sail-tranquilo-.html and
http://www.bloggingtoaruba.com/my_weblog/2009/07/our-day-on-tranquilo-in-aruba.html

It is a totally different experience from JP's and in a totally different location. The drift snorkel is in approx. 30 ft of water in open ocean on the outside of the barrier reef.

Much like drift diving, they drop you off at one spot and pick you up at another. This is done because most people would be unable to swing against the current back to the original drop off point. It also allows you to cover far more area without expending more energy. It sounds like they escort you with a smaller craft, so there isn't any danger.
