    Unique WaterSports

    Where is their shop located?

I was told that they had moved from their location near the DePalm Pier.
However, if they have moved, I cannot find out where.

I read somewhere that they were working under a tent om the beach in the same area as their storefront used to be. They are between Hilton and Riu. Their website also states that they purchases Pelican Divers and now leave from both piers, Pelican and DePalm.
Not sure when, but we will be back

Does anyone have a contact email or phone number for Unique? Looks like the only email on their website is for Hilton Aruba. I just emailed them not realizing it is for the Hilton. I would like to dive with them but have no way of contacting them.

When we were there in May a friend of mine said he thought they were slowly going out of business...not enough folks diving with them, although I know one of the dive master's used to work for DePalm and is pretty decent, but don't know if he heard this through the grapevine or from Unique Sports themselves....

if that is true, it would be a real shame.
they have been top notch and very popular for many years.

my son earned his PADI open water and advanced thru Ethe fine staff at Unique.

i called today them today to check their email and their phone number and the nice girl that i spoke with was very accommodating.

Andrea, Maybe it was a rumor since they moved. I will have to txt him and ask if he's heard anything else. It is always a shame when I go back to Aruba whether it's in 3 mo, 6mo, a year...whatever...to see something fail. There is so much competition it's hard for a smaller outfit (of any kind) to make it. Maybe I'll take my gear this trip and dive a little bit...I usually don't ever plan to dive in Aruba coz its my play place and I don't want to worry about drinking the day before i dive or stopping diving 24hr before my flight home, etc...I just want to play and not worry about anything, but might make an exception this time. As long as I can use nitrox since that is the only gas I will use to dive. When I was learning to dive the dive master's wife would always help the needy folks (me for instance..) and I was worried about an asthma flair up, she told me to try nitrox and I was hooked....!!!
