    Thumbs up

    >>> "Bonaire or Curacao. You can take an island tour of either island"
---- Been to both off a cruise ship. Since I do not dive will keep staying at Aruba as I am a beach person.

It does sound so tempting - a Caribbean trip and a visit to South America. Safety first though!

Cool any info on day trips to Venezuela??

Traveling to Aruba with 2 girlfriends in Oct. We are curious to see if there are any day trips that you can take to Venezuela while staying on the Island, or if we should even entertain the idea any further. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

Do Not Go: stay put and safe, enjoy Aruba. I'm sure you have heard the Pres. of V is not real kind towards U.S. We were there 10 or so years ago and even back then very uncomfortable.

Rent a car for 1 day & explore on your own, so much to see safely, The north side of the island is assume, you start with California Lighthouse, Alto Vista, Gold Mine Ruins, Baby Beach(a great place to snorkel, bring bagels to hand feed the fish and snorkel where the water changes color, don't go outside the breakwater strong current. Then stop at Charlie's Bar in San Nickolas for a cold one est. 1941, this can all be done in 4 to 8 hours just depends on you. Oh by the way DO NOT drive in the white sand or you may get stuck!!
