What are a few MUST Do's in Aruba & Ren Private Island

Thanks a lot for your help!

Now since you seem to be an expert, what are a few MUST Do's in Aruba.

It will be a honeymoon, we both like to have a good time and are active.

We are staying at the Renissaince! (How is that private beach)?

I am moving this off the Weather thread... so it gets more attention.
We have a few "Renaissance experts" here who will give you the low down on how wonderful it is. If you check the gallery here there are some photos memebers have posted.

As first time visitors, I would check some of the threads at

http://www.aruba.com/forum/tags/jeep%20tour.html

Definitely check out the Kukoo Kunuku

The private island is for guests at the Renn suites and marina tower. No room key, no boat ride.
There is an adult side to the beach with service, and a family side to the beach.
The island has many amenities; tennis court, work out room, gift shop, rentals of kyaks, and much more.

Where is the Renn located? Is it by a lot of other hotels? Is it walking distance to a lot of things or is a rental car something I need to look into?

Is there any place to play golf at a decent rate?

Which is the best casino?

Thanks a lot guys, lot of good stuff here!

There are no other resorts in the area, but there are tons of restaurants and some bars.

Two choices for golf:
http://www.divigolf.com/ Divi Links (9 hole)
http://www.tierradelsol.com/golf/ Tierra del Sol Country Club (18 hole- R. T. Jones II)

There are two casinos at/near the resort.

Which is the best casino? Don't know

I suggest you review a map of aruba to get a feel where things are. There is downtown, lowrise and high rise hotels all having distinct +'s and -'s.

Thanks a lot guys, lot of good stuff here!
Ask more ?'s...

We often stay at the renaissance and have never rented a car. Plenty of very good restaurants within walking distance downtown or a short cab ride away. You can also take the bus from downtown to many areas for very little money. Private island is awesome. Try a snorkeling trip like Jolly Pirates. Snorkeling is also excellent at the private island. Old Man and the Sea is recommended for a romantic dinner in the sand. Don't overschedule yourself - you will have a blast!

Thumbs up Horseback riding

Since both of you are active I would recommend horseback riding & snorkeling tour @ el paseo ranch aruba. It's a relatively new ranch compared to the other ranches I have previously visited. Snorkeling gear is included if you choose the combo tour. They picked us up at our hotel and we were offered complimentary drinks....the trip is really very beautiful. You even get the chance to ride on the beach should you choose to.

They don't book as many guests as the other ranches...that makes is more personal and more enjoyable I think!
