When a lot of the people on this thread say they like "The Marriot", are you talking about the Stellaris? I only ask beacause we haven't been to Aruba yet and isn't there also Marriot casino's at the Surf & Ocean club?

We've pretty much narrowed down our search for a place to stay to the Marriot Stellaris Casion & Resort and was glad to see their casino (if that's the one people are referring to) was getting high marks.

When we went to the Alahambra, the stench was so bad from all of the smoking that we left. Are any of the others less smokey?

Be carefull if you play the sportsbook at the Marriott. The workers at the casino do not know the rules of the sports book machine and often give wrong info. The rules on the machine itself are outdated and have changed. I was betting world cup and according to the rules and workers if you picked the winning team to advance in the cup on a straight bet it would include overtime and penalty minutes. It is clearly stated in the rules of soccer betting on there machines. Workers also verified this prior to betting. When Spain beat Netherlands, I had spain to win and when cashing at cashier she stated she checked ticket and it stated it was a loser. I spoke to a manager and we checked machine rules and he stated it should have been a winner according to the rules on the machine. He also stated that the rules on the machine though are wrong and o/t was not included. He also stated that the machines do not belong to Marriott and was sorry and could not do anything. After a long conversation and explaining that if Marriott sold a flat coke or pepsi I would have to complain to the corporate company for the product they are selling does not make sense. I lost about 400 and will never go there again. So be carefull they changed the rules from what the workers and the machines told people prior to betting. So just beware and I will no longer spend money there as blackjack could be 20 or 22 if they want and when gambling I believe a rule is a rule if not you are running a shady operation.

I always seem to win at the Hyatt playing blackjack. Marriott is still the best in my opinion overall though.
