Can anyone tell me where and when the band The Equators are performing these days? We are arriving next Saturday Octiber 27 and will be there for a week. Staying at the Occidental. Have heard them in the past and they were great. Thanks for any help you can give.

I believe they are still playing at Bugaloe's on the pier on Friday from 5-8, Saturday at Costa Linda, and every other Sunday at Moomba's by the Holiday Inn, but other than that, I'm not sure. You can check out their website at equatorband.com, but I believe they have gone through some changes recently and the last I checked, their schedule was not on the new website. I believe Teddy is in a new band now with Michael (used to be with Tsunami) and another girl singer, but don't know if they're up and playing anywhere as of yet, but I heard their music and they sound great, and I'm sure they will do well also. The new band is called Smooth Ryddims, so you might want to ask around while you're there and check them out too!

Where Did You Find The Schedule? No Luck On The Website For Us Either. We Also Love Equator Band! We Will Be In Aruba Nov24-dec1 And Have Not Been Able To Find Out Where And When They Will Be Playing That Week?

Their schedule is not listed on their website any longer. Since they are "regulars" on Friday night at the pier (Bugaloe's) down by the Hyatt/Westin, perhaps the bartenders there will know their schedule, or if you're lucky enough to catch the band playing there, just ask 'em. I'm sure they will be glad to let you know.

I went to the Moomba Beach website and it says they are playing at 6:00 pm on the 28th. DJ Francis from 3:00 to 6:00 pm that day.

Hi All ... Have heard that the Equator band is no longer playing at Bugaloe but Teddy (the bass player) is playing with his new band (Smooth Ryddims) in the Riu Palace on Wed-Thu-Fri and Sat from 2000lt till 2300lt ...
