Marriott Casino is undergoing some cosmetic changes/redecorating. Allegedly and I use the term ALLEGEDLY loosely........they say it will be complete by 5 pm on Friday the 17th.

We stopped in there earlier today and it is
a) open with very limited table games and slots
b) the place is a dusty mess

we stopped at players club to redeem some points and the nice lady said "yes all finished and ready to go on FRIDAY.

the few folks that were in there to play WERE LIVID!!

Alhambra Casino is undergoing MAJOR renovations. the parking lots are being torn up, the gaming area is being increased in size but as of now the ONLY inconveniences are parking and 2 restrooms are now gone and many of the games along a back wall are gone. All but 2 of the shops in the shopping bazaar are gone.
This is a 1 year project and it began in August

Marriott needs to put a better ventilation systym in to get rid of the smoke smell throughout the lobby.I'm an x smoker and it really smells.

it does indeed danny.

the alhambra is like a chimney.
alhambras renovtions include a non smoking area and much better ventilation.

Hi Andrea, you mentioned shops being gone, how about the stand with the phones for 25 cents/minute to call home. I used them when I was there in November and planned on using them again in March. (not to mention the young man that works there is absolutely ADORABLE!

)

Darn, if they put in a non-smoking area we may need to make a visit. Our max is usually 1-2 hrs during our 2 weeks.

Marriott casino 90% complete as of 5 pm tonight.
New rug.
New paint.
table games set up a bit different.
VIP players desk ....could not locate.
still smoking allowed from what i saw/smelled.
