The entire Marriott Stellaris lobby is amazing. However, I'm with you, Blu Bar is our fav. Nice drinks and tapas, nice place to chillax.

My first thoughts about that Marriott lobby bar is that it was unwelcoming. Maybe we just aren't the target demographic, as I much prefer the casual atmosphere of an outdoor beach bar. Our terms for the lobby bar were fancy and overpriced.
Not sure when, but we will be back

the holiday inn used to have a pretty nice, small, comfortable and welcoming lobby and lobby bar.
i have not been in there for years.
we used to stop in there for a drink once in a while.

    anyone been in there?

marriott imo, too big, too noisy.

How about the Ritz lobby for a cold, unwelcoming, "am I really in Aruba" feel?

We had a great time at that Holiday Inn lobby bar watching the Grande Carnivale Parade on TV with the bartender telling us all about traditions and his memories. It was 5 years ago but I can still picture the smile on his face. From pictures I've seen, I think that lobby bar changed with the renovations, but we haven't been in there in a while so I'm not sure.

The thing I hate the most about the Marriott Lobby Bar is the horrible chairs/sofas. They are nice to look at but the worst to sit at. I also HATE that the casino has no doors so the smoke emanates all through the lobby. Hyatt has a lovely lobby/lobby bar and I do agree that Blu seems really nice, however, we have never actually spent any time there.

Randi, drop by while we're at the Renaissance 12/26-1/1, before we see you at the Surf.

We walk by this BLU bar @ Renaissance Marina every year and always mention how cool it looks. We have not paid it a visit but it always looks pretty busy. Maybe next time we will take a break and enjoy a casual cocktail (or two)

I think the Holiday Inn lobby area had the best breeze.
