lings has a fireworks display which is pretty good and is held a couple of nights before new years eve.

many of the resorts and restaurants have "specials" for new years eve.
i would check with your resort and with restaurants by email in the latter part of november.

many of the restaurants will have their new years menu posted by then
.
I suggest contacting your favorite spot to ask if they have their menus/plan firmed up yet.

We did the Radisson two years ago for New Years Eve, diner on the beach and then cocktails up in the penthouse, (extra $$$) yes, it does look like a war zone.....I think it's one neighborhood trying to out do the other one......we had a great time.

Thanks everyone! We have been to the Island may times for New Years and the fireworks are amazing! Usually, by this time I am able to get some information on the various parties at the hotels, restaurants, etc... This year I am having so much trouble getting any info. I guess I will have to wait to get there! I'm sure no matter the plans, it will be great.

ARUBA TODAY newspaper will be advertising different parties at clubs and restaurants.
maybe a few days prior to arriving, you could check the online edition of aruba today and see what is going on.

Restaurants on NYE

First off, I have been lurking here for about a month since I booked my trip (my GF and I are arriving on NYE and leaving on Saturday the 7th). This is an awesome site and thanks to all who post the helpful information.

My question is will there be restaurants available on NYE to just go for dinner without a reservation? We are arriving on the island about 4PM and I think we just want to go out to dinner and walk around. We are staying at the Renaissance and will not have a car so any recommendations are welcome.

Can't wait to visit your beautiful island, it will be our first trip there.

Thanks everyone for your help!
