    Poker - Where?

    Hi,
I would love to play some poker, while in Aruba in July. I hear good things about the game at the Holiday Inn. Any suggestions?

Ok, here is my info on poker. I will start with the HI because you mentioned it already. They have a 4/8 limit game going each day that starts at either 7pm or 6:30, I forget as I am not a big limit person. They give you an additional $30 as a bonus if you are there at the start and play for 2 hours. They have a cash game after the limit game that always has 1 or 2 tables going. I believe it was 2/5 no limit when I was there in April. I believe they also have a tournament on Sunday nights that has decent action from what I am told.

The Hilton is where I love to play. They have a 20/20/20 tournament ever Tues and Friday. Its a blast. It is a $20 buy in, $20 add-on and $20 rebuy. It is a great night! I made the final table both times I played last trip but crapped out, lol. Every other night, and after the tournament gets smaller they have a 2/5 cash game. The game typically starts around 9:30 or so, sometimes earlier depending on who is playing. They typically only have 1 cash game going but its a decent one IMO. Its a combination of locals and visitors, I really enjoy playing with the locals....one is good but the rest not so much.

There is also a game at the riu antillas but I am not a fan of that game at all but won't get into the details of why here.

If you are going in the first week of July you will see me at the tables.

Chuck, I just don't understand some folks... you'd think with all the camo everyone seems to wear, going commando would be a no-brainer. Can't wait for you to get there and report back!! Safe travels!

I want to say 5% but I am not 100% sure, and I am unaware of the max as well- sorry. It could be 10% up to a $10 max...I really don't recall. I have played enough I am somewhat ashamed I don't have an accurate answer for you. I can tell you that its still been very profitable for me to play there....
