Texas HoldŽem in Aruba Casinos

Hi everyone!

We are coming to Aruba in our honeymoon next month. We are staying at Bucuti.

What casinos are the best for playing Texas holdŽem? Cash games NL 100 - NL 200 or sitŽn go tournaments.

Thanks!

The Raddison and Holiday Inn have Texas Hold-em. Both have tournements and small to large stake games.

Towards the end of Sept. or early Oct. the UltimatBet.com tournment is played at the Radisson. In the week leading up the the tournment, there will be many games open.

Cool Try Excelsior Casino

The Excelsior Casino in the Holiday Inn has a poker room with limits as low as $2-$4 to $50-$100 no limit. They also hold a Daily Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament (Sign in at 7:00 PM/5:00 PM on Sunday - tournaments start at 7:30 and 5:30 PM). Buy-ins range from $10 to $50 (depending on the day); Re-buys are $25; and, ad-ons are $30 (half-time only). Pots range from a guaranteed $1,500 to $4,000 (again depending on the day). Additionally the top three winners from the Sunday to Thursday tournaments get a free seat at Friday's tournament.

From my experience, I found there was not much action at the limit games in the Excelsior Casino's poker room (maybe only one or two tables operating outside of the tournament hours and the games would normally follow the tournament - i.e. you will not find a poker game mid-afternoon in the Excelsior Casino's poker room). That being said, the casino's poker tournaments were always full and there was usually a waiting list to get on a table if you were late to sign up for the tournament.

I should also point out that many locals tend to get in on the Excelsior Casino's poker tournaments (I have seen the same people year after year at the tournaments) and the play during the tournaments is fairly aggressive (i.e. every hand seemed to be an all-in hand when I played there).

Cool Not sure about Excelsior NL Cash Games

I did not see any no limit cash games while I was at the Excelsior Casino (it could have been because there were not many tables open for business outside of the tournaments while I was there). That being said, there seemed to be more demand for small stakes limit games at the Casino (i.e. $2-4 limit games). I would imagine that they would open a table if there was enough demand for a no limit game.
