OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!! Glad to see it finally opened!!

I saw an article in the Aruba Herald (from a suggestion on another board). The article refers to the casino as the Trop Club Casino. Does anyone know if that is their actual name? One of the pictures shows a plastic holder with some roulette chips showing in it, but I can't save or enlarge the picture or make out the designs.

I should be getting some chips soon (fingers are crossed). I will post scans after I get them and have a chance to scan them (probably between Christmas and New Years if all goes right).

Thanks for the directions Andrea! I saw the pics the Trop has been posting on Facebook, it looks nice but its hard to tell how big of a place it is. Two months from tomorrow and I will be on my way for the 9th time to paradise!

my guess on sq footage
would be 3000 sq ft.
it is small

the building itself used to be an outback steakhouse (many moons ago)
and then, it was a smaller version of those in the states.

the building dimensions are approx 75' x 40'

these are guesses.

we were there for 3 hrs last night
we played roulette $5 minimum bet, $10 buy in. i lasted 20 minutes staying just above water using my $40.
i cashed it out and... played slots and like magic i turned my $40 into $180 and made it last from 8 til 11:20 when it magically turned to $0.
magic..........huh?

honestly i would love to win.
but if i cannot win, i would at least like to play, have drinks delivered to me, have staff be friendly and the machines somewhat loose.............all what we found at the trop casino last night. i had so many many rum punches, i was a bit hungover this morning i am ashamed to say.

the nice lady kept bringing them and i kept giving her a dollar.
thank goodness paul was the driver as i was probably impaired (more so than usual)

We're arriving in Aruba on the 22nd. We stay at Paradise Beach so the Trop is a short walk for us. I'm really looking forward to this year.

Has the old Key Largo/tropicana casino reopened? what is going on with the casino at La Cabana, has construction started there?

visited some friends at the trop casino, played 3 card poker. hit 2, 3 of a kind within 5 hands... that was a first..
