Back at the resort by 1100...Aruba life is so exhausting
Was Lazy Turtle the place you stopped in? I've been seeing some good reviews and don't think they have been open long.

We also usually eat dinner later because I like to stay on the beach and watch the sunset every night (unless we are going to a restaurant like Barefoot where we will make reservations FOR sunset). If we are dining near Palm Beach we may go check out the shops and carts, but usually only once per trip. We never go to the casinos, not our thing. I would rather spend my money shopping! LOL If we head back to the hotel we usually will hang out on our patio. We stay at Manchebo and always have a ground level room so it has a nice little patio. We will have some drinks and maybe play cards or read. Like others, we like to be up and out at the beach first thing in the morning so we don't stay up too late.

La Cabana has a pool table in the lobby, which we use some nights after dinner. Sunday night it's Equator Band at Bugaloe, and Friday it's the same at Moomba. Dinners and German beer at Bavaria are so good that we tend to stay longer than usual and then call it a night. We'll wander in and out of a casino once a vacation and maybe blow ten bucks tops, but it's not our thing at all. I'd rather be outside.

We're always pooped after a long day on the beach, swimming, exercise, meals/drinks, and lots of walking around. The lounge chairs in front of Amsterdam Manor are a great place to crash and relax later in the evening.

One of our favourite places to hang out after dinner is Moomba beach, its very nice and cozy, literally on the beach with bar and restaurant.
So you can eat dinner there and stay, with lots of music. Also it is nice to take a walk and see where all the people are on the boulevard of the high-rise hotels. Lots of people walking there, and lots of shops too. Also the Plaza malls are nice, with movie theatres and game rooms for the kids with even a bowling place! I know you do not go to the movie theatre at home lol , but there are two at Palm Beach Plaza Mall and another next to it, do not remember the name. At the malls is nice to hang out, there is even a water show on music, that was cool! Anyway Aruba has so much to do, its nice

We know that CP tucks his DW into bed and hits the casinos.

Paul and I typically return to our timeshare for an hour or 2 after dinner and then if the mood hits we both visit a casino, or he will visit the casino alone as CP does.

Every time we visit Aruba, Paul says to me; "we should go to the movies."
My reply is that we have a movie theater within 1 mile of our home and have yet to go there.

Often we are tired from being on the beach and in the ocean and just call it a night after dinner.

    How about you?

We eat a later dinner as well when on vacation (mainly because I refuse to leave the beach until the sun has dipped past the horizon; I'm worse than kids not wanting to "come in from playing outside"), then we hit the casinos. I like to walk on the walkway between Hol Inn and Hilton, and when I tire, I love, love, love to go back to the room and sit on the balcony. When the kids were with us, we spent many evenings after dinner playing frisbee with a light up frisbee or playing cards on the tables in the courtyard at the Hol Inn. That frisbee was a hit. Every night someone asked us where we got it.

To connect back to Tracey's thread, I'm not sure what we'll do in Emerald Isle in the evening. I'll probably sit outside on the deck half the night. I'm taking lots of citronella candles and bug spray.

Yep, take lots of bug spray. Most everyone ventures over to Moorehead City and Beaufort at least one night. You can have dinner there, watch the sunset and walk along the short boardwalks. During high season, there are nice sunset cruises, but I'm not sure if they still run in Sept. FYI - for anyone else reading this, I'm referring to Emerald Isle, NC. Sorry to hijack this thread.

We usually walk around at night, maybe get some gelato or ice cream, and visit some stores. If we had dinner in Palm Beach, we'll walk around the mall and visit the kiosks on the street. If we eat on Eagle Beach, we walk around Alhambra area. If we are staying at Renaissance, then we walk around that area. We aren't really into casinos, but might visit Seaport once or twice for a quick deposit. I can't handle Alhambra because it's too smokey. Hubby turns in early so that he can get up with the chickens and get his front row palapa. I usually sit on the baclony for a while and enjoy the warm breeze. We aren't very exciting in our old age.
