    What's your preferred casino?

Having just returned from Vegas I'm starting to focus on Aruba for November. Tom loves the casino and I think he has turned me into a gambler!! When in Aruba I prefer the Seaport, Tom prefers the Crystal. We have also been known to frequent the Alhambra, Hyatt and Hilton Casinos. So I wonder what everyone's preference is? I see the Glitz is often mentioned so we're thinking of checking that one out. For Thanksgiving, I'm thinking of BLT and the Ritz Casino. I've heard that the Ritz casino is also less smoky. Do any of the casinos have the newer slots. I was obsessed with the 3D versions and Sharknado. So, where do you hang out and gamble?

absolutely agree that the RItz has the best drinks!
also too, it seems to be less smoky than other places.

honestly, paul and i have a love hate relationship with them all.

the ones we truly avoid are the tropicana, hilton, occidental...now known as the barcelo, and the seaport.

we do enjoy the ritz, the riu and the marriott due to the less smoke. (the ritz is better than all)
we have mostly been profitable at the alhambra, crystal and marriott.

imo i find that the aruba casinos are a few years "behind the times" as far as updating the machines.

Alhambra is probably my least favorite. We always get players cards but never bother to check balances as we don't play anywhere near as much as when do in Vegas. Has anyone ever received comps?

we usually receive enough comps at marriott to have dinner.
we receive enough comps at ahlhambra (cough choke smoke) to earn some cash back and free play.
(paul loves craps at the alhambra...sometimes i sit outside and crochet to get out of the smoke)

My favorite for anything other than poker is the Ritz. The Ritz has great drinks in REAL glasses. The system they have to remove the smoke works excellent as well. For poker I prefer to play at the Hilton.

Peg when you go to BLT please ask for Gwen and tell her Jay from Boston sent you. She is amazing!!!!! Her days off are typically Monday and Tuesday so don't go then, lol.

Laughing as Aruba4Ever said what I was thinking....We went to the Ritz right after they opened, where shocked when we received our Balashi Beers in a Pilsner Glass! Any beer just tastes better in a real glass I thought (at the time) they had some pretty cool machines, however haven't been back. I do enjoy the Crystal downtown and enjoy that I can play roulette during the day and you could but 50 cent chips and minimum to play was pretty good so my hubby actually sat with me who had never played. Because Alhambra is across the street from our resort that is the one I usually go to and Divi gives DH and I $50 vouchers each year to play with.

Peg.....I cannot believe Tom is making a gambler out of you funny!

I've been most lucky with the Casino at the Hilton (both blackjack and video poker with 3 royal flushes in a 4 year period).... however, now I love blackjack at the Glitz...... not really an 'uptown' place but decent dealers and a comfortable place to play. Kinda forced to play mostly at the Alhambra.... it's OK when I can get a seat... but always crowded until midnight.
