That band is AWSOME!!! I think that their name is Joy Ride.

Having someone play a guitar, saxophone or keyboards and sing badly along with pre-recorded tracks seems to be the norm far too frequently.

I know there are some talented people on the island, people that are capable of much better performances. Who are they and where/how can I find them when I'm there?
Your observation of the local entertainment scene is spot on! You haven't truly seen bad until you've seen the Aruba Sinatra.

There is/was a nightlife bar across from Senor Frogs. Forget the name. Opens at ~8-9pm. Great drink specials. Loud music.

Things don't change much over the years, do they?

Bugaloe usually has bands on Friday 6-8 and Sunday's 6-10. Equator plays there a lot. Alway's go when we are there.
