    1st and Last dinners

Lots of folks traditionally have a first or a last night dinner tradition in Aruba.

Typically ( but subject to change) we have been enjoying Hung Paradise on our first and last nights on Aruba.

Our first full day dinner is always at Mme J's and that hasn't changed since we discovered it. Last night dinner was always the Sunset Grille at the Radisson while we stayed there. This year was Screaming Eagle 'cuz we moved to Amsterdam Manor. The last night will always be a really nice place.

First night for us is appetizers at Pelicans Nest on the bar side. Their little grouper nuggets are the perfect welcome to Aruba. They have pretty big shrimp in their shrimp cocktail too.
We don't really have a last night tradition yet.
Not sure when, but we will be back

First night we rarely have dinner. We most always have a late lunch at the Divi buffet and then wander back in the evening for desserts and coffee. For awhile our last night was always at Salt and Pepper for tapas. This trip we're switching things up and have reservations at Wilhemenia where we plan to try the shrimp with langoustine.

Our first night is always at Divi buffet as it is Thanksgiving and they have turkey and all the fixings. After being up since 1:30 am it is a very, very long day and it so tastes so yummy. Of course we always have a few cocktails beforehand and after our bellies are full of turkey it is an early evening. Last night we sometimes go to Pizza Bob's, very casual and have our last bucket of Brights. Our special dinner is usually in the middle part of the week out, still deciding on a new restaurant to try this year.

what kind of food do they specialize in and approx where is this located? Other than that was thinking one of your fav's CP, MJ's or Passions or Barefoot. Always appreciate new ideas however, this one I do not remember reading too much about, please do share :-)

Here's a link www.quintadelcarmen.com. We passed it on the way to Madame Jannette so a taxi ride wouldn't be bad. It was once a hospital. Same owners as Barefoot.

I guess the food would be described as continental with exceptionally good service and a romantic atmosphere.
