Wow - what a difference we had!

We went there Friday night with another couple and were greatly disappointed
because of the great reviews that have been posted about this restaurant lately.

We were glad we had made reservations because they were busy. Place is small
and they were busy but nothing that should have 'bogged' them down. There was a lot of staff working. We had requested separate checks up before we ordered.

My friends ordered the leek soup which they liked. I had a Caesar salad.
It was okay. My girl friend and I had each ordered the coconut shrimp as
our main course and they put both orders on one plate. So we had to
wait a time for them to put them on two plates. Had to ask for bread.
When our meals arrived, the waiter never came back asked if our food
was okay. My friend had ordered the Wiener Snitzel which he found extremely
tough. The next time we saw our waiter it was just to see if we wanted
desert. Had to wait forever for our deserts - which he had not put the
order in.

I had personally been looking forward to the 'creme puffs' that had
great reviews. Mine were semi frozen. At the end of our meal,
(we had requested separate checks up front) the waiter couldn't find our 'tickets' and had to go thru every thing we ordered.

All and all I can not recommend this place.

I would never even think of freezing them at home.

I vaguely remember you could get those type of creme puffs in the
freezer section in the grocery stores in the US. I guess that
might be what they are using. I would rather go to
Hucada (my weakness) and get their whipped creme choc.
eclairs.... simply heaven. I'm not a desert person unless it's
something 'special' - and those eclairs are like a drug! LOL!

How do you know for sure that they are purchased????

These could very well be homemade....prepared in advanced and frozen/chilled until they are needed. It is not a desert that is made upon ordering...... that's just common sense.

It's too bad they were "semi-frozen", but don't assume. I have had them....and they were delicious!!! As well as the other meals that I had. Both food and service were outstanding!!

she said "might be what they are using. ...."

when we dined at amadeus 2 weeks ago it was marvelous.

we recommended amadeus to friends of ours while on island.
they were a group of 8 and had good reviews of the food but were uncomfortably warm seated upstairs.

Also remember that everyone's palates are different. What may taste good to one person, may not to another. All depends on your past experiences, your palate, and your personal preferences for food in general.

For example, I know alot of people who love pan fried fish - and I can't stand it prepared that way. Even though the fish is perfectly fine, for me it tastes awful since I don't like grease, butter, etc.

Where is this restaurant? I never heard of it before. Is it fairly new?
