i have to assume that you are taking a taxi to AMADEUS.
all of the taxi drivers know where it is located. i am unsure if it is on one of the bus routes if you are looking for other restaurant suggestions: buccaneer ---- awesome seafood with great fish tanks. ask to be seated in the room on the left. reasonable prices madame janette --- awesome international menu, outdoor garden dining moderate/higher pricing madame janette is a real wonderful experience. B55 ---- a true aruban experience, about 3 miles southeast of the airport outdoor patio dining very inexpensive lots of fun. Quote:

Don't forget to try the soups and escargot...... outstanding!!! You will like it at Amadeus.
If you are driving, it is also very easy to get to - just head west from the Renaissance (as if you were going to the "hotel district") maybe about 3-4 miles- and at the Texaco roundabout (big Pizza Hut on right) you will turn right and take that road straight for a few miles (through one more turn about). Short ride - should only take about 10 minutes or so.

Some photos of me and my husband at Amadeus in May:
With Thomas (owner)...and yes, those are shots that you see on the table. Every time we stopped in they made us (yes, twisted our arms) do them! With our good friend, Marc (who works there) - known him for years...and he always gets us into trouble!

amy,
although highly recommended when there, never made it, next time... what kind of shots are those ? you always look so nicely dressed in your pics, your husband has a more relaxed casual look,, god bless you for taking the time. I am more of a throw on, lets go eat kind of person, does this place require a more dressy attire, please no offense, you always look nice, is all i mean. |

amy always looks great.
but, dressing up is not necessary for amadeus. i wore a tee and capris. place is very casual. if you are seated upstairs, it is rather warm.

Andrea's right about the dress there - casual is fine. I have a tendency to be an over-dresser just because I like to dress up for dinner.
My husband dresses up for a couple of places (Passions, Screaming Eagle, Chez Mathilde) but otherwise he's used to me over-dressing and likes being casual if it's appropriate - and Amadeus is casual. The shots are Espresso shots (I liked them but I like espresso.) My hubby does not like shots and does not like coffee-tasting things...but he did them every time we went to Amadeus and they were in front of us (sometimes we just stopped in for drinks at night). He was a trooper. LOL! Actually, I think he liked them but didn't want to admit to it. LOL!

Dinner suggestions....? Mme Jeanette's is always on the top of our list, with Sunset Grille reserved for our last night on the island! There are so many great restaurant choices... you can't do much wrong!

We have a reservation at Amadeus for Tues July 6 - if anyone else from this board is going to be there let me know as I would love to meet some of you! We are really looking forward to the trip and all of the great food and drink, and we are determined to try at least 2 or 3 "new" places this time although I can't give up Madame Janette's.
