Anniversary Dinner

I will be in Aruba during my one year wedding anniversary and would like to get some ideas for nice romantic restaurants. So far I am thinking about Flying Fishbone, Chef's Table, Papiamento, and the restaurant in the Radisson. I've been to all of these restaurants except for chef's table. Anyone have input on Chef's table? Any other restaurants that would be good for this occassion? Thanks.

The Sunset Grille at the Radisson looked nice. I just came home from the Radisson, but I am not sure I would choose it for an Anniversary Dinner.

I went to Passions last week, and I really Enjoyed it!! Food was very good! Sat right on the beach.

Check out a few pictures from my dinner

Chef's Table is a wonderful restaurant. We eat there several times each trip we make to the island.

Great photos (made me hungry! ) We like Passions, too, for a nice romantic dinner on the beach.

Chef's Tables is also one of our favorites but I wouldn't pick it for an anniversary dinner - I'd rather have dinner on the beach.

For a special occasion, the setting is a big part of the experience for me. The Flying Fishbone or Papiamento fit the bill.

My wife and I have had our departure/anniversary dinner at Papiamento for the past 14 years and counting. Hard to beat a table for two poolside in the Ellis family backyard. On our first visit we mentioned it was our anniversary and our last night on the island, and, they made it special. Complete with a visit from Mr. Ellis and a desert creation made special for us...not on the menu. One of those nights you will always remember.

whatever you decide...ENJOY!

I agree with Amy. Especially if you are going to be traveling by taxi. The Flying Fishbone would be an expensive taxi ride from the resort area.

We stay at the AM. But for us Passions is the place we book for special occasions.
Location, Food, and Service is fantastic.

We had Madame Janette's for our 3 year anniversary last year. I let the staff know prior and they gave us a nice cocktail on the house when we arrived.

We probably will be back this year for our 10/29 anniversary and may go back to MJ's.

I agree with Amy. Chef's Table is very nice and good food, but I don't know if it would be a special anniversary dinner. I vote for Pappipamento's . Always romantic and good service.

We did Flying Fishbone for out 25th anniversary dinner. DH actually got reservations WAY ahead and we just called the restaurant when we arrived on the island to confirm. Had a table RIGHT ON the beach, feet in the water....it was wonderful. I don't remember what i ate, but i do remember it was really really good. I think it was something over black truffle pasta...... ; )

Oh, one thing, you are on an island that has to ship everything in that you eat, so......there had been some holiday right before we arrived on the island and Flying FIshbone was out of a lot of the wines, drinks, etc. Didn't ruin the evening, but just something you'll have to adjust to. ANyone else have that kind of experience?

ONe of my picts is of DH and i at our table at Flying Fishbone, ocean in the background. ...look at my photos.
Oh, and we had rented a jeep for a few days, and planned our dinner for a night we had the jeep.
