    anniversary dinner ideas

Any good restaurant recommendations for an anniversary dinner? Since during our last visit we stayed at the divi AI the only outside restaurant we tried was Madame janette ( which we LOVED!) I would love to go back but I thought I read somewhere that it's closed on Sundays. We will more than likely go there anyway but wanted to go out on our anniversary night which is on Sunday as well. Any ideas?

We were in Aruba for our 31st anniversary last year and we opted for Barefoot. They have dining on the beach or under a very very large palapa. The goal is to be there for the sunset. Some of the tables under the palapa have sand under them for the barefoot in the sand experience. We enjoyed it. For our 30th we went to Madame Janettes which will probably be our choice for the 33rd. Many rave about Passions which is another dining on the beach experience. I'm sure others will chime in and I would expect that Chalet Suisse will be recommended as well.

If you loved Mme J's the first time.... opt for that... even if dinner is a day early! Passions on the beach is a very romantic setting as is Flying Fishbone, Barefoot and a few others. Most high rise hotels have a waterfront romantic dinner advertised too. There are a lot of wonderful choices.

It really depends on what kind of dining experience you want.

If you're interested in a romantic dinner on the beach there's Passions or Barefoot.

If you want an elegant European style formal dining experience, you can't beat Chalet Suisse.

There are also options for local cuisine, ethnic meals, grilled meats, etc.

Telling us your preference will help with recommendations.

We always enjoy celebrating poolside at Papiamento. Romantic and a unique setting with great food and service.

I agree. We typically eat dinner early maybe around 6(?) and the night we went to Papiamento we had the place to ourselves until after appetizers. Once the sun starts to go down, the white lights and candles were really nice. Passions would probably be my #1 for romance though.
Not sure when, but we will be back

Ours, too! Love the food at Passions and the atmosphere for a romantic dinner is perfect.

If money is no object, definitely look into the private dinner on the Morning Star. We did that a few years ago for our anniversary and it was amazing!
