Aruba artwork

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help. A few years ago I saw some small paintings of Aruba done by local artists. I believe they were already framed. I thought that they were at one of the kiosks on the street side of Palm Beach.

When we were in Aruba last April, I looked for these paintings but could not find them. Does anyone know if they are still around?

Any help will be appreciated.

There is one artist that sells his work on the beach side of Playa Linda on the boardwalk. He does very nice work.

This is some of his work. Each picture is about 22" x 22" This is one of his larger sizes.

There is a gentleman who comes to the "craft fair" at CasaDelMar on Wednesdays between 6 and 7 pm who has the most wonderful paintings and we have been buying from him for several years. His work is beautiful and very reasonable.

I've seen that three piece painting a couple times and seriously considered picking up a set of them. We have a couple similar paintings, one was picked up at the Divi craft fair and the other was downtown at one of the stalls along the waterfront. The larger one was purchased without a frame and was not cheap to get framed when we got home.

Thanks Cindyo. That is our 3rd. bedroom/sitting room in Aruba. The couch folds out into a bed.

In the U.S. we have an oil pinting by "Elvis" that we bought at Gasparito years ago. Also have an oil of Dos Playa that I had done here in the U.S.

Very nice. Didn't you get a painting at Wacky Wahoo's?

If you love original artwork from Aruba, be sure to visit Het Binnenhuys, the interior design store on Avenida Milio Croes in town, they have so much to choose from - big store!
