    Aruba dining options/need suggestions

    Hi all,
After reading lots of posts here, we will like to try the following restaurants. We have three adults and two babies with us ( 2.5 and 1). Please make some suggestions if you guys think there is any other restaurant which should be a must try for the first time visitors and we need take some restaurants out from the list too. We are staying from 11/19-23 (monday to friday) 4 lunch 4 dinner. We will stay in Renaissance Suite. We won't rent a car based on the suggestions on this board. We will take taxi or bus this time.

    Lunch
    Windows on Aruba
    Scott's Brat
    Casa Tua
    Cilo
    Zeerover
    Cuba's cooking

    Dinner
    Barefoot
    Pinchos
    Wacky Wahoo's
    Yemanja Woodfired Grill
MJ( but recent reviews are not good, kinda concerned now)
Carte Blanche (seems very nice but probably not good for kids?)

    Thanks in advance.

You will need a car to get to Zeerover (or it will be a hefty taxi fare.)

Carte Blanche doesn't allow anyone under the age of 18.

    Your other choices sound great!

Cuba's Cookin is a good dinner choice (you have it listed for lunch) and is right across from the Renaissance.

since you will be staying at renaissance suites, it may be very easy just to eat at the open air restaurant at renaissance island or at poolside restaurant.

you may not want to move from the beach or the pool, mid day to go off property for lunch.

as ~amy ~mentioned, carte blanche prohibits children and it will be a large taxi fare to zeerovers.

wacky wahoo has great food but is a small restaurant. it may be cramped with 2 high chairs for the kids. for good seafood and a better family atmosphere, you may want to consider buccaneer. the restaurant has many fish tanks which provide much entertainment for the kids. magnificent fish tanks! their poached grouper is delicious.

a place to consider also for dinner would be matthews at casa del mar, near the alhambra casino marketplace.

    Barefoot is perfect for kids
You can get up and move around with them.
Pinchos while excellent is not kid friendly menu of venue wise.
Cass Tua is great for kids and is right outside your door

do not let some recent reviews keep you away from Madame Janettes. We were there last week and going again tonight. I don't think Windows would be a very good choice and not sure if they are even open for lunch, but, just downstairs is Mulligans which I highly recommend. Very casual with great food. It's our welcome to Aruba first lunch.

I think for kids Madame j is not good idea. The food great but if your kids are like mine they get restless after two plus hours for dinner. Just my experience.

the person (the original poster) that posed the question has already come home from aruba.

i agree with you re: MJs not being great for real young children. i think kids young kids would be real bored there. bored kids, grow restless, then restless turns to acting out........making the experience difficult for kids, parents and other diners.
but, as far as the food goes, the chefs WILL throw together a kids sized burger or grilled cheese together for the young 'uns.
