thanks everyone. i do hope that mj's was just having a bad day. it broke my heart to complain about them. your moderator has been to dinner there with us several times and she knows we adore their food and service.

we actually (as per the culinary school grad that was with us) felt that the chef was angry with the restaurant and having a typical 'chef style' tantrum. to have that many different meals ruined by major salt overload can only be a work of anger. i do not blame kasi. he wasn't there.

none of those in our group will be there until at least next august. hopefully, all problems with mj's will be fixed well before that. it is one of those few restaurants that has stood on it's wonderful reputation for many years. let's hope this is just a hiccup.

I think you deserve huge credit for even wanting to consider dining at MJ's again. Most others would have been driven away permanently. I would bet everything will be ironed out by next August and Chef Kasi will guarantee you a wonderful meal. I am surprised that he has not yet responded. Hopefully he is on vacation or just busy taking care of his guests.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. We ate there the beginning of August and really enjoyed it. Excellent service and all our dinners were delicious. Hopefully it was just an off day when you dined there.

Im currently in the US to buy new Equipment , my apologies to sherryf and i will make sure we will do it right with you . You will be hearing from us asap please PM me your email address ! I will find out what happens and make people responsible if needed , but one thing is for sure nobody in professional restaurant operations will add salt on purpose to any dinner.

I hope to see you again sherry and we can take care of business, again my deepest apologies to you and your group !

Regarding the other speculations Ownership and main Kitchen staff never changed in MJ and we don't have any cutbacks or some sort of thing .
Hundreds of People are very Happy with their meal every night at MJ and we will work hard and focused to keep it like this .

Andy, If Humans work for Humans mistakes happens from time to time specially in the hospitality business , we have Daily top rated reviews on Tripadviser for example but nobody is raving about them or even read them, mistakes on the other hand always make the news in some way .
But critic is a good thing if you learn from it and try to minimize them , mistakes happen and if i know the secret how to avoid them on a 100% rate, i will sell the Restaurant and write Books about it .

Thanks for reply.....glad to hear that there have been no changes; I only raised the question because of some recent, surprisingly negative reviews. We've had great experiences at MJ and only hope that the bad reports are anomalies.

We will judge for ourselves in four weeks.....hope to see you then Kasi. We'll follow up with a very honest review which, hopefully, will be "excellent".

Glad to hear there were no changes at MJ's and that it must have just been an "off" night - sorry to hear about your experience there Sherry.
