I wanted to try this place but we aren't really into carbs at all. Would rather have a nice piece of fish or lean filet mignon with a salad or fresh veggies. Maybe we'll try it for lunch when we're out and about for the day.

Great place for lunch. Always stop at B-55's on the way back from Baby Beach. they welcome sand covered, hungry folks like us with open arms! Great find.

Hmmmm, maybe we'll have to try it again next trip after reading all the positive reviews. Our first and only experience there, in 2008, was not very good. Son's steak was actually raw when it was served - just seared on the outside. Had to be sent back. Hubby and I ordered a shrimp dish and they brought us both some sort of chicken dish. When we brought it to the server's attention, they did not offer anything (maybe reduce our bill?). We kept the meals only because we didn't want to wait another 1/2 hour to get the right food. So needless to say, our one and only visit to B55 was not very good.

Maybe they had an "off" day - maybe we will give it one more try.....

friends went last night and raved about it.
they did ask for extra tossed chopped garden salad and veggies instead of the rice, baked potato and potato salad.

they had grouper and said it was good.

Good to know! Thanks! I've become such a picky eater over the last few years....I've always liked creative/good food (thanks to Mike's expertise in the kitchen) but now it has to be HEALTHY, creative/good food!

when i had mentioned all of the starches to our friends they balked, but decided last night to ask to pass on the taters and rice and get the cabbage and carrots and huge amount of salad instead.

in reality, there is so much meat/chicken/fish one does not eat much of anything else served. (well i did eat my potato salad since it was delicious)

That sounds good! I'm all about meat/fish and huge amounts of salad (and just a couple of bites of potato salad if it's good, too. )
