I think you may be comparing apples and oranges. If memory serves me correctly B55 is much more casual than Barefoot.

I know Andrea loves b55. Maybe compare the menus of the two restaurants and see which you prefer.

Apples vs a mashed potato
no comparison i would choose B55, notice i said "I"? because i like the real laid back kind of places. but Barefoot might be on our list for next week as we cannot get into MJs.

If my husband knew how much reserach and planning I've been doing he would kick me out of the house. He doesn't beleive in any prep work for Aruba...just go and relax, but if I did that we would be going to the same old places and never try anything new.I appreicate all of your help!!! |

my husband says it is comparing Macys vs Home Depot.
B55 is drink the beer out of the bottle, wear shorts and tee. enjoy good inexpensive food...heavy into carbs. each dinner comes with, rice, potato salad,a baked apple, some type of veggie and meat or fish. we'll be meeting member "sugar" there one night next week for dinner. barefoot........never been, but our son and dil are thinking about going there early in the week and we may go with them. will report back

We like B55 for a light lunch and a few beers. For dinner, we would pick Barefoot. Both are nice places but very different as far as food and ambiance, it just depends on what you're looking for. Sometimes for dinner in Aruba we're in the mood for a place like Screaming Eagle or Barefoot and other times a pizza to go at Linda's is all we're in the mood for. But we would probably consider B55 for a casual dinner if it wasn't such a drive - we like to have wine with dinner and don't like to drive too far at night.
Paul has it correct - it's like comparing Macy's and Home Depot.
