Haven't seen much posted about bakeries in Aruba so I'm wondering if anyone knows gf a good one? I'm curious if there are any pastries that are unique to Aruba.
the bakery that paul and i always go to is "la delizza" (SP?)
you'd need a car.
palm beach road to Noord.
Left at the traffic lights near St Anne's church and Caribbean Palm Village.
Follow that road for a mile or so and the bakery is on the left.
Wonderful croissants, apple turnovers, breads , rolls and many other items. (pizza too....sicilian style)
this is an italian bakery and i do not think that they have aruba items. well yes.....italian via aruba
Here's the link to my video about La Delizia that also shows how to drive there:
I also like Huchada which has a place on the main road in Santa Cruz and in the Certified Mall in Oranjestaad.
Aruba's Novelist in Residence (sometimes)
I have wondered this myself - I know my mother-in-law got some wonderful Apple Turnovers last time I was there with her and I always forget to ask where she gets them. I will have to check out some of the above listed on my next trip!

Aruba New Years 2016-17 12/27/16 - 1/4/17
This is the bakery that my neighbor Bruno used to own before he retired. Still very good and the new bakers do a great job. I think 5 Burgers still get their rolls from here too. . . .

I love Huchada, but you have to get there really early in the morning or else all the good stuff is gone......
