    Battle of the Food Trucks

As reported on the Aruba.com facebook page,

"This Friday, September 28th and Saturday September 29th. The island's food trucks are going to war! And it means victory for you! Food trucks will be cooking their favorite dishes just for you, all while vying for the title of "Best Food Truck on the island!" Savor a variety of LIVE entertainment: World renown Salsa singing star and Latin Grammy winner Victor Manuelle! Known to his fans as El Sonero de la Juventud ("The Youth's Son Singer"), Rincon Boyz, Upgrade Music, D-Licious Band and Iguales Band. Also come and enjoy Celebrity Judges, Carnival type fun, Domino Challenge, Zumba and Bingo. A showdown of tasty proportions!"

We passed by last night on the way to dinner at Windows on Aruba. We will be there tonight to enjoy the local food and music. It should be a fun time. It is being held at the Trop Club Casino parking lot.

Aruba where the toughest question each day is "where to dine tonight".

i think there is a food truck (MAMA's ??) that is out on the road at eagle beach near lacabana.

Had a sandwich from there once and it was delicious.

From another article I just read:

The nine food trucks participating in the competition included Chachi Snack, Mama’s Truck from Eagle Beach, Piets truck which is usually parked at the Bubali intersection next to the sports complex, Ricuras, headquartered on the road to Paradera, Chalo’s Burger, the Hollywood Smokehouse, next to the Old Dutch Bar, Tia Rosa, from Pos Chikito, Gio’s burger & Caribbean Sabor.

We love Mama's food truck by Eagle Beach. As soon as she opens, there is a line with alot of locals and police getting a plate full. We have a picinic on the beach by her truck looking at that beautiful ocean. We can't wait to see her soon.

the take out containers of food from mamas is obscenely huge.

we were a group of 8 and ordered 3 lunches and it was either pulled pork or chicken.

brought it back to the pool and made about 12 - 14 sandwiches from it all.

    very inexpensive and delicious
