    Beach Dinner

I have reservations at Passions but have read some recent comments that make me wonder if I made a mistake. It was Barefoot, Flying Fishbone, and Passions. Help?

    barefoot gets rave reviews.

flying fishbone is an expensive taxi drive if you do not have a car.

passions' good reviews outnumber the not so good.

We've been to all three. IMO, Passions has the best ambiance, food is okay and pricey. Barefoot has best food and price, and okay ambiance (but close to Airport and Nikky Beach). Flying Fishbone was overrated - very good food but very expensive, small portions, and tables too close together, also long expensive cab ride.

Of the 3, Barefoot is the one on our "do-over list". When we go again, we will sit under the large palapa instead of out on the beach - I think that will improve the experience. I don't think you will be be disappointed no matter which you choose. Enjoy!

We have had dinner at Passions a number of times now. Our last trip we ate there twice. It is our favorite "beach dining experience" in Aruba.

We had dinner at Barefoot on our last trip and we enjoyed it as well. We ate seated under the palapa though not on the beach. We did not want to eat on the beach after hearing about some of the distractions from Nikky Beach.

All in all we will return to both restaurants. They are both in our top 5.

We have eaten at Barefoot at least 6 times and there were never any noise coming from Nikky Beach. We don't go early but the earliest we have arrived is 7pm and all was good.

This is definitely our favourite beach dining restaurant. A definite A++++

I have to agree about the mahi mahi. I had it last year and it was overcooked and very dry. The rest of our dining experience was fantastic, but this kept us from going back again this year.
