    beachside welcome/rehearsal dinner location suggestions

Hello! Can anyone suggest a restaurant where I can have a welcome and rehearsal dinner for about 50 guests? I am having my wedding in Palm beach and I was thinking of having the welcome dinner at another location but somewhere close so my guests would be able to see more of Aruba. A beachside casual location would be perfect.

    Thanks!

There are some suggestions here http://www.aruba.com/forum/tags/welcome%20dinner.html

For something on the water...Pinchos' comes to mind, but then you have transportation as a whole separate issue...

we were just planning my stepdaughter's wedding two weeks ago in Aruba. they checked out some restaurants and really liked la petit cafe (I think that's the name) at the playa linda. the manager emailed them and they are working on a menu. it is close to the radisson where they are having their wedding. i didn't eat there so i can't say but they loved it.

I would look into Passions on Eagle Beach. Awesome food, location & sunset. And not all that far from Palm Beach.

I would suggest Waters Edge at the Costa Linda. The inside dining room could accomodate that many people I'm sure. It is right on the beach. We ate inside, but, there are windows floor to ceiling. No worries about mosquitos or rain. Food was very good and they had two for one drinks. That may have been for the drink of the day.

I highly recommend Pinchos as well. I had my rehearsal dinner there with a group of almost 30 people and they accomodated us quite well. We didnt do a sit down dinner but a standing reception with pass around "pinchos". It kept it casual, people could go to the bar as they pleased, mingled with who they wanted, etc. It was great and our guests absolutely loved the restaurant (sunset is breathtaking). You do need to take in to account transportation though. If that isn't an issue then I think the restaurant is an awesome choice.

Divi Phoenix Sunset Grill for Welcome Dinner

Divi Phoenix beach resort is a beautiful location for a welcome dinner reception. Might I recommend a welcome BBQ? For the guest that arrives on the island the same day as the welcome reception, this would be a perfect welcome dinner location where everyone can feel relaxed and can arrive in shorts. Many wedding ceremonies and receptions take place at this convenient location and being in between Eagle and Palm Beach makes it a short ride from any of the resorts located close by. If by any chance there might be sudden rain shower, the resort has a beautiful reception room that faces the beach.

We attended a friend's welcome reception (2 days prior to her wedding on Ren Island) at Pincho's, too, and it was great. They booked the entire place for our group, had butler passed pinchos/apps as well as a small buffet, and live music later in the evening. It was a fun night!
