Best "feet in the sand" dining experience?

I am wondering, what, in your opinion, is the best "feet in the sand" dining experience to be had in Aruba?

We are mainly eating affordable, local fare on our visit as well as grilling at our house, but would like to splurge on something extra nice as well.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

lots will say Passions....lots will say Barefoot and Flying Fishbone and Hyatt.

i prefer having a floor under my feet and like Barefoot under the large gazebo structure, where as many like to be a bit more forward onto the beach or to Marina Pirata on their dock.

Flying Fishbone - you can even ask for a table at the water's edge and have your feet in the water!

The reason I wouldn't recommend Flying Fishbone is the tables are so close together. When you are sitting at the table you may as well be sitting with the people at the neighbouring tables as there is no privacy. Too bad the tables are so squished together which is why we haven't rushed back there.

Passions, didn't love the food but lots of people do. Bathrooms are really outhouses.

Barefoot is one of our favourites, food delicious and fabulous atmosphere. It sits just outside of downtown to you aren't spending a fortune on a taxi or driving for a bit and of course the bonus is real bathrooms

One can either sit right on the beach, which is lovely or can request one of the front row tables inside overlooking the beach. Some of these tables do in fact have sand as their floor.

You will get lots of opinions so good luck.

Hmmm. We didn't find it crowded on our most recent trip. But it is a bit of a hike from the tourist areas.

I wouldn't recommend Barefoot anymore as the food has gone downhill since they opened QDC - our last two visits were disappointing... Food and service.

    Act1966, Interesting on all accounts!

We were at Barefoot in December and found service and food great. Perhaps an off night?

Unfortunately, they had off nights on two separate occasions. So we don't go there anymore. It's not that it was terrible, it was just lacklustre relative to when they started.
