In my most humble opinion it is the Italian place behind McDonalds, lousy location as far as scenery, but great food!!! I beleive it is named Hosterio!!!

Try the new Gambero Rosso at the Marina Mall - it was excellent!

Bella Luna

We were at Bella Luna in February. Excellent food and service. We try to go there every time we visit Aruba.

Sole Mare

I would reccomend Sole Mare, the place is owned by Gianni Ferrara same owner as Gianni, actually they own a couple of restaurants and they are all good. The whole building that Gianni's Rest is in, is from this family. If you choose any of them you can't go wrong

Have tried almost all also....Hated Alfredo's- greasy sauce, overcooked pasta
Hostaria DaVittorio's- one year the food was fantastic next year awful...
La Tratorria's was okay,
My favorite was Sole Mare....seems to be at least consistent, don't really need reservations if you go about 5-6.
Tough that we all have our own opinions, you will just have to keep going back each year to form your own!!!!!!

Michele, wishing I were there everyday !!

Café Baci

Rarely does anyone talk about this place, but my wife and I had an excellent experience last May and the food was fantastic.
We had made reservations at the Steak house at the Westin for dinner and the show on a Wednesday. Pago Pago was closed, even though they excepted our reservation? Cafe Baci next door offered to make amends and take care of us. I am a steak and Potato guy and was Leary, but they convinced us to eat their for the same deal as Pago Pago. (in the end this was much less expensive!)
Just for me they went into Pago Pago steak locker and brought out several choice cuts for me to pick from. I am Fillet Mignon guy and I the steak rivaled that from Sunset Grills and the best I have had in the world. The pasta was excellent as well.
My wife had an excellent Italian dish and the care and service were over the top. The manager was all over us the whole time making sure all was well while not being obnoxious.
We will make sure the Pago Pago is closed this May when we go back, just to eat at Cafe Baci again.

Pete

I think it is hard for Italian Resturants in Aruba to live up to resturants in the USA if you come from Boston, New Jersey or New York or compare to my mom and dad's cooking being brought up in an Italian home I think they all fall a little short. I have not tried Gianni's yet I am looking forward to seeing if they compare.

Two different couples just went to Tosca, the new restaurant in the Passeo Mall, and were very pleased with the Italian food there. I recently tried Gambero Rosso, and was very impressed.
