It's the norm in most places, not just Aruba. Wherever we have traveled to, we have always taken the recommendations by the concierge with a grain of salt and make our own decisions based on various internet sites and other travelers we meet/talk to who seem to have similar likes/interests.

We have found the SC concierge to do a nice job in getting WW, Papiemento's, Yemanja, etc. I guess all "in the brown book". Now I know where it is, we can visit next trip.

I am definitely going to try it out in October. I am born and raised in Italy and I do have hard time finding good Italian food on the islands. I did have a good experience at "La Dolce Vita" back in 2008.

Looking forward.
