Best places to eat near Mariott

Hi - I was wondering if there are any good dinner places near the Marriott (aside from those in the complex).

Thanks

When are you going?

I saw the title of your post, and hoped to find some responses. My wife and I are heading down for the first time on 6/29 for a week at the Surf Club.

I have read about a number of good ones on-line, and from people who have gone before, but I cannot remember them off the top of my head. If there is no action on your post, I will try to recall what they told me.

We are going for our 15th trip June 27 for 3 weeks. When you are at the Marriott, you can walk to about 30 eating places. They have a nice sidewalk that goes behind the Holiday Inn and you can walk for over a mile with plenty of places to choose from. If you are interested in free snorkling, let me know. I always take people to the best spot on the island to snorkle. You can e-mail me direct: kentgerber@adamswells.com

Here are a few resturants close by the Marriott.

Beach side:
Moomba's - between Holiday Inn & Marriott on beach.
Pelican Nest - on pier in front of Holiday Inn

Island side:
Le Petite Cafe - Playa Linda
Smokey Joes - great for ribs
Tomatoe Charlies - pizza
Salt & Pepper - great for lunch or dinner
There a a few others by Salt & Pepper, but don't recall their name.

When you arrive, take a walk down the beach. When reaching the Radisson, go thru the hotel to street side and walk back towards the Marriott. There will be many places to eat & shop.

I did not list any hotel resturants. Most have them.

Next Trip:
Sept. 9 - Oct. 29
Jan. 5 - ?????

Try Fish N' More, or Tango's,, same strip mall as Salt N'Peppers. I do also agree with Tomato Charlies for pizza, don't know whether its the sun or Aruba or what, but...I love their pizza !! There is also Aqua Grill, a little pricey but fish is fresh.

Aruba, my home away from home !!

Just a little past Aqua is Wackey Wahoo (just before the sex shop). Great food, reasonable prices, incredibly nice owners/staff.

Alrighty then...after we hit the sex shop, I guess we'll have a lot of places to choose from .

How's that Pelican place?

I figure our first night, we'll just want something light after travelling all day.
