Ate at Daniels last year for the first time. Best steak that I have ever had that I can remember. Went back a second time the next week and just as good. Love MJ steaks but usually try some of their other dishes there. El Gaucho has very good steaks but can't deal with all the noise and waiters begging for extra tips.
Similar experience with me..... I want my rib eye cooked 'Pittsburg' and without an extremely hot grill/broiler.... it doesn't quite come out like it should.... last years was less than stellar.... but with the bone in rib eye back on the menu, we're booked for Monday night!I don't want to be a killjoy, but my last two trips to the Radisson's Sunset Grille were a bit disappointing (just a bit, certainly not bad) for the price. If you go for the rib eye, please be careful when you order. I found them to overcook a bit versus what I am used to and that was the main cause of my problem.

El Gaucho flys their steaks in from Argentina. If you live on the east coast, ill bet half your steaks are flown in from the midwest or Texas not raised locally. That doesnt make them bad.
Had a juicy, tender well marbled flavourful ribeye at El Gauchos a few weeks ago. Ordered the porterhouse which is fantastic but they were out of them.

Ruths Chris makes a great steak. But its something you can always get in the states, so its not #1 on the list. We do usually hit it up the last night, because we stay at the Marriott and the last night we like to just stay at the hotel.
love the gaucho steak at el gaucho..also their pork tenderloin is amazing..my wife swears by their ribeye..the only bad thing is their atmosphere with the waiters looking for extra tips and the singers coming around bothering you while you're eating..LG Smith's has great steaks and in my opinion everything is good there..MJ's is also one place that everything is great..I especially like the tournadoes a la Ramon..I've also never had a bad meal at Que Pasa..
