Blue Marlin Question

Does anyone know if the Blue Marlin is now open for business?
They are the little restaurant connected with the new ownership of Tropicana Resort and Casino.

I read in the Tue, 2/8/11, edition of The Morning News, that the restaurant Mamuri opened up where the Blue Marlin was. Owner is Adriana Sanchez who owns Pizza Bob's and Ellioti.

Thank you EHampite. Will be sure to check it out. We loved Blue Marlin and am hoping new restaurant is as good.

We ate there last week and I really felt like it was overpriced for what we got. We ordered separate shrimp dishes and 2 drinks each and our bill was $80 for about 5 shrimp each, undercooked veggies and rice. After we got the bill we were told we should get 10% off since we were staying at the Tropicana, but they never recalculated the bill and had already put cash in with the bill so the waiter got the extra 10% I guess. This was our very first meal in Aruba and we were disappointed. We ordered different shrimp dishes to share and try different things, but it all tasted the same.

This restaurant is now called, "Mamuri's". I ate there twice during my 2 week stay earlier this month.
My first meal was not so good. A way over-cooked burger. My friend had the lasagna and said it was the best she had ever had.
When my husband arrived we returned and we both had a delicious meal at what we thought were fair prices. No higher than elsewhere on the island.
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
We were told about the 10% discount if you are staying at the "Tropicana" but since we were not guests there we did not qualify for a discount.

Location: Our favorite place on the island, is the great beach at the Boca Grandi. The water is the best, and its very quiet.

Thanks for posting. We used to love getting a light meal at the Blue Marlin. We'll give it a try and see how it is. I wish they would get their lic. and open the casino.
