Well that's the reason we never make it to brunch.... I don't want to be weighed down the rest of the day with a heavy meal.

Bourdain dislikes brunch - because he says it is made with the night before's leftovers!

Note to Mr. Bourdain...That is the case with ANY buffet. It does not have to be brunch. I wonder how many items below fits his criteria for brunch food.

    http://www.aruba.com/news/cuisine/br...st-got-better/
"At the heart of the display a mountainous raw bar, heaping chilled shrimp, iced mussels, oysters & clams on the half shell. Overflowing platters of smoked salmon, assorted bagels, just-baked boulangerie baguettes in skinny paper bags, cut fresh and dried fruits, French toast, scrambled eggs, favorite side dishes, exotic prepared salads and imported cheeses may be sampled unhurriedly before visiting the made to order omelet station, the Belgium waffle-maker and the carving wagon. Shaved ham, turkey, salami, roast beef and breast of chicken compete with an assortment of pates and apple sausages. The dining room servers will be happy to order custom prepared eggs benedict and deliver them piping hot to your table.

Brunch...offers a number of unique and special touches. Freshly baked pizza...sumptuous rolls at the Japango sushi bar. The International Food Station...Cuban sandwiches and heaped-high jawbreakers...at the hot sandwich corner.

... the dessert station is loaded with cakes, petit fours, mousses and pastries. A crepe-maker...fresh fruits and premium ice cream in paper-thin French pancakes topped with...caramel sauce or dabs of syrup thick with blueberries. The chocolate fountain...coat their own fruit skewers....espresso/cappuccino machine is parked right in the middle of the dining room, forever brewing 'pick-me-up' potions.

Brunch at the Hyatt Regency provides a never boring, interactive opportunity of watching a pizza maker, a sushi roller, the waffle iron handler, the omelet flipper. ... bottomless flutes of mimosa, Azaleas, Bourbon Punch and fruit juices Brunch at the Hyatt Regency certainly ends the week or starts it the right way, with a heartfelt WOW."

Curious Pierre ...we went once years ago and had made a reservation and still had to wait for a table.

For Easter especially, did you make a reservation and if so did you have to wait for your table?

I saw another photo on the net with a huge pile of fresh shucked oysters. That is something you just can not get away with as leftovers. Probably not all of the boiled shrimp piled up next to it either.

Yes Lisa we did made reservation ahead (about 3 months before our arrival...), and once there we only waited a few minutes before being seated. If others are wondering the email address for reservations is: adventur@hyatt.com

So how much is the Hyatt's brunch nowadays? I just saw an advertisement for the Radisson's brunch and it was $35.
