    Bucaneer. Not the same

I or i should we(family) always enjoyed coming here. Totally not the same! Lobster bisque had no lobster meat i said something to the gent whos been there for years he took it back and through some meet in but still not the same. We got charged $100 for 2 half lobster tails. Serious??? We went to pinchos tonight and order filet with a lobster tail for an additional $20 which was a nice lobster. I paid $193 for 2 dinners a ceasar salad and 2 soups. Tonight we did Pinchos got filet lobster coconut shrimp sliders 3 drinks and paid $83. And that was with gratuity... Come on $193? Im no cheapskate but we got taken. Miss josef and the old Bucaneer. Staff at Buc, if you wanna keep the family business going successfully you have to go back to the basics!

you're not being cheap, dinner for 2 was 193.00? that's crazy!!!!
that's what the bill should be with many multiple cocktails!!

the buccaneer need to realize their customers are veterans of the island..
very few, if any 1st timers are dining there! repeat customers keep it floating..

nothing worse than feeling you got clipped, especially in aruba, you know the island
    and restaurants...
    I would have been PISSED!!

Marko... I remember you always raved about the place.

Ok, it's time for the restaurant to reach out here and make it right.

after our fiasco at MADAME JEANNETTES and lack of concern for our bad meal I am on a crusade for restaurants to make things right. Bad press doesn't help.

PERFECT case in point, bad meal at PASSIONS one visit, mgr reached out to us and made it right. It is now one of our MUST visit restaurants. We appreciated him stepping up and out!!! It won't be forgotten❤️

I moved the Madame Janette discussion to its own thread.
    Leaving this for Bucaneer chatter.

    Re: Mark and family's meal.
    what a disappointment.
i hope that mr and mrs marko spoke with the owner/manager and got some sort of explanation.
that pricing for what was served seemed way off base.

I had the same experience as Mark when I was in Aruba in May. I had to send back the lobster bisque which was unedible. This had always been one of my favorites but the quality of the food certainly does not match the pricing. This was crossed off my list after the bad experience in May.
    See you in Aruba!!!

Want good lobster bisque then you need to head to Maine, New Hampshire or MA. We use lobsters with claws LOL. In all seriousness thanks for the update as we have eaten their twice and it was god both times however looking to try new places next week. I have to also agree Pinchos is on the "A" list for us.
