Smile The Buccaneer Restaurant- AMAZING!

We had our first dining experience at the Buccaneer Restaurant on August 20th and is was OUTSTANDING!

The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable and the service was unsurpassed. This restaurant is so cozy, warm and inviting- on one side every booth has an individual aquarium, the other side has an extremely large aquarium and it feels like you are under the sea and the bar was shaped like the bow of a ship.

If you haven't been here, you should definately try it-
I am so glad we found this restaurant and will be sure to enjoy a meal here everytime we are on the island!

I have attached some photos from our dinner at the Buccaneer Restaurant that were taken by Angela from Bella Aruba Photography...

They are located in Noord, close by to the High Rise resorts. There is a copy of a map on their website at http://www.buccaneeraruba.com/images/map.gif

We went last week and the server actually offered to take the kids back to "pet" the turtles in the tank! It was an awesome experience! I loved how open they were about having our whole family trapse thru their kitchen! Great place - highly recommend it!

WOW what a great experience for the kids!
Did you notice if the older man (the owner - chef) was there? Last time we were on island one of the wait staff said that he was sick.

He, the owner is really very awesome....he walks thru the restaurant's dining rooms and meets and greets the diners. On Sunday's he and his sons spend hours upon hours cleaning the fish tanks. He is a remarkable man and an outstanding chef.

Andrea - When we were there in Nov he was not htere as well. His son was running things. We have been going to his restaurant for 8 or 9 years now and I agree, he always comes out and talks with everyone. German guy I always forget his first name Fritz maybe? I forget. He's been saying for the last 5 years that he wants to retire but he never does. I hope he is ok, I will be going back in October and will find out what's going on.
